Dress Code
At Dance Innovations, our dress code is an important part of creating a focused, professional, and unified classroom environment. Wearing the correct attire allows instructors to clearly see each dancer’s alignment and body lines, ensuring proper technique and safe corrections. It also promotes a sense of community and belonging among dancers, helping them feel part of the team the moment they step into class.
To keep things consistent across classes and levels, all required leotards, class shirts, and hip hop shoes must be purchased directly through the studio. Parents should select their dancer’s level when ordering to ensure the correct style and color are provided. All other items — including tights, shoes (other than hip hop), and dance accessories — may be purchased through the studio or from an outside dancewear retailer that meets our specifications.
Please review the dress code details below carefully before ordering to ensure your dancer is prepared and properly dressed for class.
Please note that while our dress code differentiates “Option A” and “Option B,” dancers are welcome to choose the style of dress they prefer for each class. For all options, hair must be pulled back and secured away from the face. We want each student to feel happy, confident, and comfortable in their dancewear. Questions?
